Coming up this week... 

Well, that went quickly! The good news though is that the youth work is starting back up next week. Here is what is happening.. 

Cell Groups
Every cell group will start back next week and they will all be starting a 4 week run of sessions about families (except Year 9). Year 9 Cell will be looking at Spiritual Disciplines.   


Friday Pathfinders (younger)

This week (17th Feb) there is no Pathfinders, because its half term. 

Next week  (24th Feb) we are having a 'Card Board Fortress Night'. The aim of the game will be to build the best cardboard fortress, and then defend and attack with cardboard weaponry. I suggest you bring:

  • Cardboard (as much as you have) 
  • Gaffa tape (sooo much gaffa tape) 
  • bits of rubbish that would make good throwing weapons (I'm talking plastic, paper and card, not tins or rusty old daggers)




Friday Pathfinders (older)
No older pathfinders today (17th) but next week (24th)  We are going to use the cardboard that is left over to have a nerf war. So bring nerf guns please... as I said last week, the more the nerfier...


Sunday Pathfinders & CYFA 
There is no Sunday Pathfinders or CYFA this week.


Youth Weekend Away 
The deadline for the final payment for the weekend away has now passed, so if you need to settle up, please could you do that by Monday 20th Feb.

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. 2nd - 9th June

Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course. And we are back!!!!

Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since.
